Wine About Winter Downtown Medina * Feb. 6th, 3-7pm This wonderful unique event starts out at the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce Building at 433 Main St. Medina. Simply provide proof of age, and purchase a souvenir collectable wine glass. Once you have your glass, you will be given a list of participating business who will have various wines from local wineries available for tasting. The cost of the wine tasting is covered when you purchase your wine glass, ($10) There will also be tickets available for purchase to win one of several baskets including a Grand Basket on display in the Chamber Building. Pre-sale is recommended, you may purchase pre-sale tickets @ Ashlee’s Place, or call Cindy Robinson at 590-0699 or 798-4394 for information. Payment can also be made by sending a check to Cindy Robinson 12206 Portage Rd., Medina NY 14103. They will then hold your glass for you, to pickup during the event at the chamber office. February 12 – 14: Be Mine with Wine – Spend the weekend with your sweetheart sampling chocolates paired with wine at each winery. Tickets good for all three days and includes a wine tasting at each winery, a commemorative wine glass from your starting winery and chocolates at each winery.

A Celebration of Ice Wines and Food!
at the New York Wine & Culinary Center • February 27, 2010 • noon-6pm
Join us at the New York Wine & Culinary Center on February 28 from noon-6pm for the second annual nICE festival, a celebration of Ice Wines and Food! We are offering free ice wine tasting in our tasting room and Exhibit Hall accompanied by Renée Suzette’s Chocolate as well as ice sculpture demonstrations outside with complimentary hot chocolate for the kids & Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters hot coffee for the adults. After enjoying the outdoor activities, visit the restaurant for an ice wine and appetizer special. Other events for the day include regularly scheduled classes: Wintertime Wine & Food Pairing at 12:30pm, Kitchen Quick Takes–The Basics at 1pm and Wine & Chocolate Pairing at 3pm. 1pm • Kitchen Quick Takes–Crepes Basics in the Hands-On Kitchen; preparing Apple Crepes with Brandy Butter, paired with Ice Wine, $40 per person.
2pm • Ice Sculpture demo with Chef Instructor Jeff Christiano; FREE.
3pm • Wine & Chocolate Pairing in the Educational Theater; sample 3 NYS wines–including one Ice Wine–paired with 3 varieties of Renée Suzette’s chocolate; $20 per person.
4pm • Ice Sculpture demo with Executive Chef Carlo Peretti; FREE.
All Day • Sweet & Savory Duo/Ice Wine Pairing in the Taste of New York Lounge Restaurant; Sweet: Empire Apple & Pineapple Tarte Tatin with Double Vanilla Gelato, Savory: Asian Spiced Pork Belly with Pomegranate & Honey Glaze, paired with Standing Stone Vidal Ice; $15 per person.
