Summer is almost here and we can’t wait! Many new and exciting things are happening around the winery. We have broke ground on our new addition to our winery for our new fermentation room.

Also, we have a new wine on our shelf…..Chardonnay! Make sure you stop by and taste it! Very exciting news from the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, our Semi-Dry Vidal Blanc has won DOUBLE GOLD!!!! If you have not had a taste of this make sure you do, its great!

Tyler has started a new Trivia game on Facebook! Every Friday around 1pm (don’t be surprised if he is running a little late). Be the first on Facebook to have the correct answer to the question and win a free bottle of wine!

Upcoming Events

May 1st: Live music at the Winery with Joe Higgins from 2-5pm.

May 7th, 8th, 9th: Wine Trail Blossoms. Celebrate Spring with Mom on the Niagara Wine Trail. Travel to each winery to taste wine and collect a different potted herb plant. Tickets good for all three days and includes a wine tasting at each winery, a commemorative wine glass from your starting winery and a potted herb at each winery on the trail. May 14th & 15th: Spring into Summer Festival. Friday 14th 5:30-10pm, Saturday 15th 2:30- 9pm. At the Agri-Center at the Fairgrounds, Hamburg NY. Wine and Beer Tastings, Live Music, Door Prizes, Auctions. Admission price to the festival is $25.00. Tickets available at the event, Tops, or from any Tickets.com location.

May 15th: Bedford Plant for Hope. Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Bedford ’s Greenhouse, 6820 Cedar Street, Akron NY. 10-4 pm. Live Auction, Cookout, Music, Wineries, Crafters. More info at http://www.bedfordsgreenhouse.com/Plant4Hope.html

May 18th: Lilac Festival. This 10 day event will feature New York State Sparkling Wines on Tuesday May 18th from 4-7pm. Highland Park, Rochester NY. More info here, http://www.lilacfestival.com/

May 22nd: Spirts and More Spirts Wine Tasting at the Iron Island Museum, Buffalo NY. Join us from 1-6pm to taste wines and tour the haunted museum. More info here, http://www.ironislandmuseum.com/

May 29th: Live music at the Winery with The Brotherhood! Come enjoy some great music and great wine on the Saturday before Memorial Day! 2-6pm.

June 5th: Our first Saturday at Elmwood Bidwell Farmers Market! Keep checking for future dates that we will be at!

June 12th: Live music at the Winery with Nacho Mama! 2-5pm.

Liquor Store Update….

We are in a new Liquor Store, The Wine Sellar on Union Rd, Cheektowaga NY. The wines that will be available there are, Niagara, Catawba, Ruby, Lotus, Crackling Catawba, Crackling Niagara, and Mon Cheri. We will be at the Liquor Store on May 28th from 5-8pm for a tasting.

Martin, Ann, & Tyler, Congratulations on the new addition and the next evolutional step of Schulze Winery. Cathy and I will be up soon to check things out in person.
